A little bit about me....
I have always loved dancing, whether that be on a stage, at a party, or in the kitchen, dancing takes me to my happy place. Contemporary dance is my favourite, I love the freedom and expression it allows and also how inclusive it is, everyone can do it! I also love yoga, fitness and Makaton (which you'll find are also embedded within my practice).
My other passion is teaching, I love helping and supporting others to achieve, develop and have fun. I am truly passionate about providing opportunities for everyone to achieve and thrive, in a calm, safe environment. I'm always learning and looking for new ways to interact and connect with people to enhance their participatory experience.
Intertwined allows me to bring all of the above together and contribute to providing more inclusive opportunities for people within the North East and I am absolutely loving the journey in doing so.

Relevant Experience
Over 14 years experience teaching dance and making it accessible to an array of individuals of different ages and abilities; predominantly working with Neurodivergent individuals. Places such as: Day centres, schools (primary & secondary), theatre schools, youth clubs, etc.
Also have advisory experience, of working with families to support the process of utilising direct payments for Personal Assistant support.
Personal Assistant and lived experience, with my older sister who is autistic; this being one of my main driving forces for the work which I do.

To ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, I hold an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate, which is registered with the DBS Update Service.
This allows my DBS status to be checked and verified online, ensuring it remains current and valid at all times. The Enhanced DBS check confirms my suitability to work with children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
I am committed to maintaining up-to-date safeguarding clearances and will provide confirmation of my DBS status to relevant individuals or organisations upon request.
I hold full business insurance, including public liability and professional indemnity cover for all dance, fitness, and wellbeing activities delivered through Intertwined. A copy of my insurance certificate is available upon request.
