Intertwined may take photographs or videos during classes, workshops, rehearsals, and performances. These are used to:

• Celebrate participants’ achievements

• Promote classes and events through our website, social media, and printed materials

• Support applications for funding, publicity, or community engagement

We are committed to ensuring that all photography and video usage respects privacy, safeguarding, and data protection requirements.

Consent

We will seek consent from participants or parents/carers before any photographs or videos are taken.

Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time by contacting Intertwined.

Usage of Images and Videos

Images and videos may be:

• Shared on Intertwined social media platforms, website, or printed materials

• Used for promotional or marketing purposes, including leaflets, posters, and presentations

• Shared with local media only with prior consent

Full names of participants will not be used alongside photographs or videos unless explicit consent is provided.

Storage and Security

• Digital images and videos are stored securely on password-protected devices or encrypted cloud storage.

• Physical copies (e.g., printed photos) are stored securely.

• Only authorised staff have access to the files.

• Images and videos will not be retained longer than necessary for their intended purpose.

Safeguarding Considerations

• Photography and video recording during sessions will be conducted in a safe and respectful manner.

• Staff and volunteers will ensure participants’ dignity and comfort are maintained at all times.

• Any participant who does not wish to be photographed or filmed will be accommodated.
